Here’s an absolutely stunning set of production pictures from Henry V, currently running at the Playhouse theatre. The show, a collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe and directed by its artistic director Dominic Dromgoole, is an authentic and visually impressive take on the Bard’s complex story of war and peace.
With History Boys star Jamie Parker in the titular role, supported by a wealth of incredible talent including our own Matthew Flynn, it may not be your conventional night out at the theatre in this day and age (they do not dim the house lights, and Elizabethan musicians play live throughout) but the standard is superior, creating a remarkable live experience, the kind of which does not come along every day.
MADEUP suggests you catch it while you can; if the prose doesn’t get you, the atmosphere will. Henry V is on until April 28 and the pictures are by Stephen Vaughan.
