A group of writers, directors, actors and stage crew are rising to a challenge today, giving themselves just 24 hours to come up with a show to be performed tomorrow.
Lady Parts theatre will be staging the results as four short plays under the title Assemble at 81 Renshaw Street tomorrow (Sunday, June 23) at 5pm and 7pm. Entry is just £3; to reserve a ticket email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“It’s one final blast before Lady Parts takes a summer break, and we’ve made it a challenge,” they say. “Following in the footsteps of successful and brilliant Play in a Day events, Lady Parts have created Assembly Line Theatre. The writers are given a theme the night before, the directors and actors receive the scripts at 10am and the final pieces are on stage that evening.”
Lady Parts launched earlier this year, as new writing company specialising in creating and promoting strong roles for women.
