ABOUT
Made Up is a mix of my personal and professional musings on Liverpool's theatre and performing arts scene.
I'm a freelance journalist and writer and founded MADEUP.LV in July 2010. I've been writing about arts and culture in the region for more than a decade; I am a former arts editor of the Liverpool Daily Post, and have written extensively for titles including the Liverpool Echo, Southport Visiter and Ormskirk Advertiser. As a freelancer I have had work published in The Guardian, Liverpool Confidential, Seven Streets, Powerplay magazine and Culture 24. I run journalism sessions with primary school age children across the North West, and am currently the project editor for a stable of business news websites across the US. I am a board member of the Independents Biennial and the secretary of the Merseyside branch of the National Union of Journalists.
