The Bellydance Superstars — it’s not just a clever name — are some of the world’s best-known belly dancers, and they’re in the region this weekend for a show with a difference.
Showcasing a range of different bellydancing styles, the troupe brings their Club Bellydance tour to Europe this month, and their UK dates start on Saturday (May 19) at Warrington Parr Hall.
Instead of just performing their own theatre show as they have done in the past, the professionals are sharing the stage with some of the best up-and-coming regional acts. In each city BDSS has worked with local bellydance groups who have helped to organise each show, and who will be providing the first hour of performances with dancers from the local area. They say: “We are super excited to be able to meet and enjoy performances from the many great dancers who will be joining in on the project.”
