In the kingdom of Egg Bush in a far away land, a King and Queen are blessed with a child. Deciding to celebrate rock ‘n’ roll style they invite the world to right Royal party, but forgetting to invite one particular fairy causes more trouble than they ever could have imagined – will all be well on Ruby Tuesday’s 18th Birthday, or will Oderon’s curse take effect? Whatever happens, the Everyman promises dancing in the aisles, and can always be trusted on that one.
The cast will sing and play music by the likes of Queen, The Beatles, Eliza Doolittle, Journey and The Black Eyed Peas. Francis Tucker returns for his magnificent eighth Everyman panto appearance to play both Queen Ashley of Egg Bush and Queen Norma, while Nicky Swift is back to cast a spell again as Milly Moonbeam. Adam Keast returns as King Scarlet of Egg Bush and King Norma and Everyman newcomer David McGranaghan weaves a dastardly plot as the bad fairy Oderon.
Sleeping Beauty will be the last of the famous rock ‘n’ roll pantos in the Everyman as we know it, which is due be closed for a complete rebuild in 2011.
